Choosing The Perfect Photo.
We want your portrait to be as beautiful and true-to-life as your pet. To help us create something really special, we’ve put together this simple 5 point guide to help you choose the best possible photo for your bespoke pet portrait.
What Makes A Great Photo
-
Lovely Natural Lighting
Ideally your photo will be taken indoors near a window or outdoors in gentle shade.
-
Taken At Eye Level
Eye level photos are great because they allow us to see your pet’s face as you see it.
-
A Clear Head-And-Shoulders Shot
We just need your pet's head and shoulders, no full-body pics are needed.
-
Sharp And In Focus
Please ensure you send us sharp images, not blurry or soft focus.
-
Looking At The Camera
Or just off to one side is fine, as long as your pet appears relaxed and natural.
What To Avoid
-
Blurry Or Dark Images
Aim for a crisp, well-lit photo. Try to avoid flash or direct sunlight, as these can create harsh shadows.
-
Photos Taken From Above
Shots taken at your pet’s eye level help us capture their true features and personality.
-
Screenshots Or Low-Resolution Files
Always upload the original photo if possible, screenshots often lose quality.
-
Unusual Or Awkward Poses
Images where your pet is lying down, twisted, or looking sharply away can distort how they appear in the final portrait.
-
Too Far Away
We just need a clear head-and-shoulders view, no full-body shots or scenic backgrounds required.
-
Missing Features
Make sure your pet’s full face is visible in the frame, especially those fabulous ears!
One Last Thing…
We create your portrait using the exact photo you provide, so it’s important that it follows these guidelines.
We can’t offer refunds for portraits made from unsuitable images. If we feel your photo isn’t quite right, we’ll always get in touch to ask for an alternative, after all, we want your pet’s portrait to be just as perfect as they are.
